Teaching & Learning

The Pike County Teaching & Learning Department provides services and supports for the students and teachers in our schools. The department assists with planning of the curriculum, providing instructional resources, guiding textbook adoptions, and supervising the state testing program.

We provide a number of student supports, including Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), educational psychological evaluation, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504. The department also oversees the Student Information System (SIS) and state data collection for accountability and funding purposes.
